What the room is like
A Victorian chapel hall with a high ceiling, wooden chairs and no rake to the floor. The acoustics are better than they have any right to be. It is cold in February and we say so rather than pretending otherwise — bring a jumper, the heating takes an hour to do anything.
The kit
A projector bought second-hand in 2019, a 3.2-metre screen, and a modest sound system. It is not a cinema and doesn't pretend to be. What it is, is dark, quiet and reliable, which covers most of what a film needs.

Refreshments
Tea, coffee and biscuits at the interval, £1, honesty box. There's no bar — the pub two doors down handles that, and gets most of us afterwards.
The pub bit
Not organised, not obligatory, and where the club actually happens. Somewhere between a dozen and thirty people go. If you've come alone and want to meet people, this is the part to stay for.
