Access
An 1880s chapel hall has limits, and we'd rather set them out than have someone arrive and find out.
What works
- Ramped side entrance from the car park, permanent, not a portable ramp.
- Space for two wheelchairs at the end of the front row, held until 19:20.
- All films subtitled — every one, always, since we screen in original languages.
- Accessible toilet on the ground floor.
- Assistance dogs welcome.
What doesn't
- No hearing loop. We've costed it twice; it's beyond us for now, and it's the thing we most want to fix.
- Flat floor, so sightlines are poor from the back if you're short. Come early.
- The hall is cold in winter and the heating is slow.
- No lift. Everything is on the ground floor, so this rarely matters, but the storage and the notes archive are upstairs.
Just ask
Email club@valhallareels.com before you come and we'll hold a seat where you need it, keep the lights up longer, or meet you at the door. Nobody has ever asked for something we could do and been turned down.
