Previous seasons, selected
| Season | Theme, where there was one | Best attended |
|---|---|---|
| 2025–26 | First features | The Norwegian one in March, 58 in the room |
| 2024–25 | No theme, deliberately | An Icelandic documentary, to everyone's surprise |
| 2023–24 | Adaptations | The Swedish crime adaptation nobody expected to like |
| 2022–23 | Winter and light | A Finnish film with eleven lines of dialogue |
How the programme gets made
Ingrid and Danny draw up a longlist, check what can actually be licensed for a non-theatrical screening, and then cut it to eight. Licensing removes more titles than taste does — roughly half of what we want isn't clearable at a price a sixty-seat club can pay.
Suggestions
Members suggest constantly and we keep a list. The realistic answer is that a suggestion takes a season or two to arrive, and about a third never clear.
