Short answers to the things people ask before they get in touch.

Do I have to be a member to come?

Come once as a guest to see if it's your thing. After that we ask you to join — it's a flat yearly fee that keeps the lights on and the rights paid.

When and where do you meet?

The third Thursday of the month, in a chapel in Leeds. Doors from seven, film at half past, and usually a slow drift to the pub after.

What sort of films?

One a month from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland or Iceland — always subtitled. New festival titles, older classics and the occasional thing nobody can quite classify.

Is it just the film, or is there more to it?

Someone says a few words before, and there's talk after for anyone who wants it. No homework, no exam — you can just watch and leave if you like.

Can I bring someone?

Yes. Members bring guests all the time; just let us know numbers so we don't run out of chairs or wine.
